What is the worst city you've ever been to and why?
Submitted by Soup.
Well, I'm usually one who can find the good in most places--especially while I'm travelling and visiting new cities and towns. But I guess if I were to name one city I'm not a big fan of, it's Kansas City, Kansas (not to be confused with Kansas City, Missouri) because it's really quite ugly--it's mostly industrial, with a few broken-down homes. I'm sure there are great people there, though!
Ok, so I know I'm not the only one who thought this whole story was blown way out of proportion. I've taken the time to compile all the online information concerning the fateful incident, so other people can laugh at it all, too.
Strangely enough, even the onlookers in the picture above seem to be laughing about it...
Read the Daily Herald's initial story here.
Here's a "poll" that the Daily Herald did to find out their readers' opinions about the whole fiasco.
In this article, the Viewmont Coach swears the squishing of the bird was an accident. Hmmm, after watching the video, I somehow doubt it...
In this article you can read the opinion of a guy who actually seems to know what he's talking about. He's also a bit fed up with people screaming about animal cruelty.
Here's KSL's story of the incident, complete with video and audio of the story (which I can't get to work, but maybe you can).
Heck, even USA Today and Associated Press got in on the story. Sweet.
The CD and DVD for "Joseph Smith: The Prophet" are coming out soon! I am really excited. The miusic is so awesome; it was such a great experience to sing in the choir. Next Saturday the whole "cast" is going to watch the recording at Varsity Theater on BYU campus. It will be cool. There's a clip of the recording on the brand-new official website. You can see Chelsea's face behind the first soloist, and if you have extremely good eyes you can see me a couple times!
One day I'll have a house with Christmas lights that are even cooler than this...
TESTING, TESTING 1-2-3. Is this thing on? Am I blogging yet?
If I am, then hi Tiff. I decided to make a post thing to tell you what I'm up to! Yay! I saw your parents a couple weeks ago. they told me that they saw Wicked in London! RAD! I saw Wicked in L.A. on with Chelsea on our honeymoon and I must say it was absolutely amazing. You have to see it, and get the music, too.
As of right now, Chelsea and I are doing a show called Sleepy Hollow. It runs till Saturday. I never knew I was an actor or singer till fairly recently. Mostly I'm in the background chorus, but I do have a couple tiny solos and acting is involved. SCARY! But it's going well. Chelsea has a degree in theater, and she's playing the lead female, Katrina.
Also, at the end of this month we're singing in a choir that's doing a recording of Joseph Smith the Prophet. It's kind of an oratorio about the life of the Prophet. We get to sing at Abravanel Hall with the Utah Symphony! I'm excited. It's previously been released as a CD, but we're doing a video taping which will be released on DVD and broadcast on TV.
Well, that's about it. Gee, I hope this thing works........
